Zoom

Usually Zoom works smoothly, but occasionally issues crop up, so if you're having a problem with Zoom I may be able to help. If I meet you over Zoom to work on something, we can treat it as a Zoom practice session and try out different options you may like.
Microsoft Office

I can help with:
  • programming Excel spreadsheets
  • formatting
  • creating PDFs
  • converting PDFs to Word files
 I am experienced with Microsoft Word and Excel. I can either show you how to use the features of those programs, or I can reformat documents that you provide.
Try LibreOffice! It's Free and Open Source!

LibreOffice can create spreadsheets and text files just like MS Office, and you can save your files in MS Office formats like "docx" or create PDFs. I think you will enjoy using this free and open source program. It has all the capabilities of MS Office with more besides, and I find LibreOffice easier to use. I use it personally for all my word processing and spreadsheets. I can also help you discover other open source apps, programs, and operating systems. For instance, Open Educational Resources (OER) are often useful for distance education, and I can help you find them.
Email

I can help by:
  • creating new email accounts
  • setting up email clients
  • organizing old emails
 Usually setting up an email account is quick and simple. To organize emails I suggest creating folders, which allows automatic sorting.
